This is a CrossFit event for ATHLETES OF ALL LEVELS–BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED.

From the Weekend Warrior to the Elite Athlete… everybody is welcome! This is an opportunity for everyone to compete on the turf in MetLife Stadium where the NY Giants and the NY Jets kick off every Sunday!

COME DISCOVER THE PRO ATHLETE IN YOU!

Due to the nature of the stadium and its connection with the NFL, the event will be themed around the College/NFL Combine. This is a new and unique approach to the CrossFit workout that adds an additional component of football exercises.

This combination of CrossFit and football is a new twist and will be fun for the football fan and CrossFit athlete alike.

How will the competition work?

This is a Team competition. Each team will be made up of 3 athletes. ONLY 300 TEAMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Each team will enter one of the following divisions:

Co-Ed Rx (Intermediate and Above)

Police/Fire/EMS/Military (Intermediate and Above)

We will divide the teams into their respective categories. The teams will then be sent to different starting points on the turf and within the stadium to begin their competition. Each team will compete in 3 rigorous workouts during the course of the event. We will allow 2 hours for all teams to complete the workout before they move on to the next challenge.

Over the course of the day the groups will have rotated through all 3 workout stations plus a fourth station for athletes and their families to take tours of the stadium, including the Giants’ and Jets’ locker rooms.

For the final event, the top 3 teams in each category will compete in a 4th and final workout on the turf in front of an audience of over 2,000 people.

Taylor Swift has added a 13th stadium show to her 2013 North American tour, in support of her blockbuster new album, RED. MetLife Stadium will welcome country superstar Taylor Swift on Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Tickets will be available starting Friday, January 25th at 10 am ET through Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at Ticketmaster Outlets. Tickets are priced from $46.50 to $99.50.

Taylor made the initial tour announcement in partnership with ABC’s primetime TV special “All Access Nashville with Katie Couric – A Special Edition of 20/20.” Watch the announcement here: bit.ly/U4I2Gv. RED was released in October to widespread worldwide critical acclaim.

On The RED Tour, Taylor is currently slated to headline 64 shows in 46 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces in 2013. The tour will kick-off on March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska and continue through September. Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose duet with Taylor from her RED album, “Everything Has Changed,” has already reached the #1 position atop iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart, will be a special guest on all of the shows on the tour.

The RED Tour will be produced and promoted by The Messina Group (TMG). At Taylor’s request, every show will include tickets priced at under $50. TMG is a partner of AEG Live, one of the top live entertainment companies in the world, which produces world tours featuring internationally renowned artists and regional concerts and festivals.

Taylor’s RED Tour is set to be one of the most-anticipated musical events of 2013, as Taylor’s live shows are renowned worldwide for bringing her music to life with what Variety has dubbed “supreme spectacle” and Billboard has hailed as an “overwhelming experience…that blended the pacing, the music and the artist’s personality in a way that transfixed.” During the course of every show, Taylor plays a variety of instruments and performs her biggest hits and fan favorites from her four Big Machine Records albums.

“I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour,” says Taylor. “I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!”

Taylor Swift is a six-time GRAMMY winner, and is the youngest winner in history of the music industry’s highest honor, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Her fourth studio album, RED, was released October 22nd and has garnered widespread critical acclaim. Her 2010 album, Speak Now, was lauded on Rolling Stone’s prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, and Time magazine has named Taylor one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Two-time BRIT Award winning singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has become one of the biggest musical success stories in the UK over the past year and is already a fast-rising star in the U.S. Sheeran’s debut single, “The A Team,” was Britain’s highest-charting, biggest-selling debut single of 2011; his debut album, “+”, entered the UK Albums Chart at #1 and has since been certified 5x-platinum. “+” debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 upon its stateside release via Elektra Records this past summer, with “The A Team” continuing to climb the radio charts.

Tickets, which range in price from $45 – $195, will go on-sale to the public on Wednesday, October 17 at 11 AM EST and will be available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, at the MetLife Stadium and IZOD Center Box Offices, and at Wal-Mart Ticketmaster outlets throughout the New York/New Jersey area. For group sales (15+) call 201-460-4370. New Jersey Transit service will be operating from New York’s Penn Station to the Meadowlands Sports Complex train station. For more information, visit www.njtransit.com/meadowlands.

CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE COLOMBIA VS. BRAZIL TICKETS

For Brazil, the home team, this is the team’s third match at MetLife Stadium, most recently facing Argentina on June 9, 2012 for the “Clash of the Titans” match-up. The November match marks the first time Colombia will play at MetLife Stadium and its first return to the Meadowlands region since August 2009, playing against Venezuela at Giants Stadium.

Historically, Brazil and Colombia have met 24 times with 15 wins by Brazil, two by Colombia, and seven ties. Of those matches, nine were World Cup Qualifiers with Brazil taking five wins and four ties.

“We’re thrilled to have the Brazil national team back at MetLife Stadium for the second time this year, and we welcome the Colombia national team to our building for the first time,” said Brad Mayne, President and CEO of MetLife Stadium. “We had an amazing turnout for the recent Brazil game, and are pleased to provide local fans of both teams an opportunity to see this exciting match in their own back yard.”

Brazil and Colombia are both expected to field their A-teams, giving fans the opportunity to see some of the best and youngest players in the world. Brazil’s Neymar, 20, (Santos) is one of the most sought after footballers by major European clubs. At age 19, Neymar won the 2011 South American Footballer of the Year award. Neymar has drawn considerations to many of Brazil’s greats.

Colombia’s Falcao, 26, (Atlético Madrid) is considered one of the top strikers in the world. Over the past three seasons, Falcao has scored over 100 goals during league competition. In 2011, Falcao became the first player in history to win two consecutive European titles with two different teams while at the same time becoming the top goal scorer for those teams.

“It is great to end the international football year against an opponent of Columbia’s level, while at the same time returning to the United States, and New Jersey, where we have always been very well received by the fans,” said Brazil Coach Mano Menenzes. “Colombia has been performing very well in their World Cup Qualification campaign and we expect a great game where the Seleção will treat the fans, who are certain to fill the stadium, as it was in the other matches, with the good football that we have been playing in our recent friendly matches. We are going to bring our strongest squad to the game as the most important thing is to play a great game against Colombia and show the fans the team that we are building.”

“Since we started working with Colombia, one of our biggest conditions was for us to be able to choose the friendly games we want to play, being a priority to play against good teams,” said Colombia Coach José Pekerman.

Brazil will host the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup, which automatically qualifies the team for the Tournament. Led by Coach Mano Menezes, Brazil is the current holder of the FIFA Confederations Cup after winning the 2005 and the 2009 edition of the Tournament. Brazil is currently ranked 11th by FIFA and is consistently considered to be among the strongest football nations in the world. Brazil is the only national team to have played in every World Cup and the only team that has won 5 Cups.

Heading into the 2014 World Cup, Colombia is currently ranked ninth in the FIFA world rankings (highest ranking since 2002), with its recent success attributed to its new golden generation of stars. Coached by José Nestor Pekerman and led by top players Falcao and Guarin, Colombia is now second on the World Cup Qualifiers behind Argentina. Most recently, Colombia shocked 2011 Copa America winners, Uruguay and Chile, with convincing World Cup Qualifying wins.
