Sept. 20, 2009 – Eli Manning opens up the new Cowboys Stadium with a 33-31 Giants victory, completing 25-of-38 passes for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Dec. 17, 1995 – Rodney Hampton rushes 34 times for 187 yards, the most against the Cowboys in franchise history.
Nov. 11, 1962 – At Dallas, Del Shofner piles up 158 yards and three touchdowns on six catches in a 41-10 victory. Three Giants have recorded three receiving touchdowns against Cowboys: Shofner, Joe Walton (1962), and Plaxico Burress (2007).
Nov. 2, 2008 – Justin Tuck records 2.5 sacks and six tackles in beating Dallas at home, improving the Giants’ record to 7-1 coming off the Super Bowl season.
Sept. 20, 1987 – Safety Terry Kinard records three interceptions in the second game of the 1987 season, returning them for a total of 93 yards. His three picks is the most ever against the Cowboys and tied a franchise record with Carl Lockhart (1966) and Dick Lynch (twice in 1961 and again in 1963).
Dec. 21, 2003 – Of Michael Strahan’s 141.5 career sacks, 18.0 came against the Cowboys. Of those, 3.0 came in Week 16 against the Cowboys in 2003. He and Lawrence Taylor (1984) are tied for most sacks in a game against Dallas.
Oct. 6, 1985 – Phil Simms sets the current record of 432 passing yards against Dallas (third-best performance in franchise history regardless of opponent) on just 18 completed passes for three touchdowns.
Dec. 11, 2011 – Eli Manning puts together two touchdown drives in the final 3:41 of the Week-14 win in Dallas, positioning the Giants back into the lead in the NFC East. Manning’s 400 yards in that game were the second-most against the Cowboys in franchise history.
Jan. 1, 2012 – In a game that decided playoff fates, Victor Cruz went on to rack up 178 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The 178 yards is the most against the Cowboys (previously held by Rich Houston with 175 in 1972) and helped the Giants clinch the NFC East title en route to winning Super Bowl XLVI.
Dec. 16, 1962 – Y.A. Tittle caps off a 41-31 win over the Cowboys in the final game of the 1962 season with six passing touchdowns and 341 yards. His six touchdowns in a single game still remain a Giants record against Dallas, one shy of his franchise-best seven which he set earlier that season.
