Giants Week 13 fantasy results, Week 14 rankings

Posted by Joe Kania on December 6, 2013 – 2:00 pm

Will Victor Cruz return to his early-season form this weekend against the Chargers?

Screen Shot 2013-12-06 at 11.41.42 AM

Wide receiver Victor Cruz scored 20-plus points in two of his first four games but has just 8.7 in Weeks 12 and 13. He scored 8 in the Giants’ Week 13 victory over Washington but had less than a point as the team fell, 24-21, to Dallas the week before.

Cruz has been ranked as high as No. 6 but comes in at No. 14 this week, marking the second week in a row he has remained outside of the top 10.

“He was better for sure in this past game against the Redskins,” ESPN’s Christopher Harris said. ‘He was more part of the offense, there weren’t drops, there was a feeling that there was a connection between the quarterback and wide receiver. It was better tape for Cruz than we’ve seen in the past couple weeks. We know what the story is with Victor Cruz — he’s a really good player. He’s sort of a better player than he should be for what his raw physical skills are.”

But the question is — should you start Cruz this weekend when the Giants take on San Diego? Harris believes Cruz’s fate lies on the shoulders on his quarterback.

“He’s just a good player and the limitations here about Eli,” Harris said. “This is a matchup against the Chargers where I fear that Eli is doomed for a horrible performance out of the gate.”

Here’s a look at how all of the Giants’ players performed in Week 13 and where they are ranked heading into Week 14.
