GIANTS WEEK 8 FANTASY RANKINGS

Rueben RandleWeek 7 marked the third consecutive week in which Rueben Randle was the Giants’ top-scoring fantasy wide receiver.

Randle, who scored eight points on Monday, has 41.1 points in Weeks 5, 6 and 7. Teammates Hakeem Nicks  and Victor Cruz have 24 and 23.6 points, respectively, during that span.

WEEK 7 FANTASY RESULTS

So naturally, he is moving up in this week’s fantasy rankings.

The second-year wide-out rose six spots, from No. 30 to No. 24, but is still the team’s lowest-ranked receiver. He trails Nicks, No. 24, by one spot but was ranked ahead of him by both CBS Sports and Yahoo! Sports.

Cruz, No.8, remains in the top 10 for the fourth week in a row.

In his season debut against Minnesota, Peyton Hills scored 14.1 points, the second-most of any Giants running back this season. He breaks into the fantasy rankings at No. 29 and appeared as high as No. 22 by CBS Sports.

Also on the rise is the Giants defense. The unit improved two spots, from No. 22 to No. 20, and earned its highest ranking since the preseason.

Here’s a look at this week’s fantasy rankings. This week’s ranking is listed in parentheses. +/- indicated the difference between this week’ rankings and last week’s.

QUOTABLES

“He’s (Jon Beason) got a nice voice and when I say voice, he has good command. I’ve talked to you guys in the past about a mike (line)backer being able to command that front and being able to make them get down, put their hand in the dirt, listen to the call and when he commands them they know that he’s giving the right command. He’s a very smart football player too. He can visualize plays. When you talk to him he understands concepts and so I think that’s a nice addition to have on your football team.” -Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell
