Fantasy 101 brings you the latest fantasy football news from around the league.
Andre Ellington RB Cardinals
» Last week: 56 rushing yards, TD
Ellington’s Week 6 performance got the attention of a lot of fantasy football owners who are looking for that free-agent running back steady enough to take them to the championship. The rookie got his first touchdown of the year last week and also has shown to be a great receiver as well, notching 18 receptions for 180 yards already on the year. He’s totaled 108 rushing yards on just 14 carries in the past two games. The explosiveness is there, but now the wait begins before the Cards start trusting him as an every-down back.
Russell Wilson QB Seahawks
» Last week: 257 passing yards
Wilson’s 2013 season has been a quiet but productive one (92.8 QBR). But with his eight touchdown passes, 1,254 yards through the air and 294 yards more on the ground, it’s hard to complain. However, he has failed to throw for 300 yards in a game all year and has thrown multiple touchdowns in just two games. Meanwhile, he has zero touchdowns in two games. As he faces the 19th-ranked Arizona Cardinals pass defense in Week 7, watch for Wilson to get back on track with the aerial assault attack, as well as the ground game.
Michael Floyd WR Cardinals
» Last week: 5 receptions, 44 yards, TD
Floyd has been a bit of a disappointment thus far in his young NFL career, recording 907 yards, 71 catches, and three touchdowns total in 22 games played. Once in a while he’ll put up a solid performance that is worthy of his first-round draft selection, but his downfall this season has been the lack of touchdowns. However, the targets (42) and yards (346) are getting there. Floyd is looking for his opportunity, and with the Seattle secondary going to be mainly focused on stopping Larry Fitzgerald, No. 15 could have a major impact in tonight’s game.
