Practice, which is scheduled to begin at 1:15 P.M. as opposed to the usual 1:45 P.M. start time, and will be closed to the public. Tomorrow’s practice will also be closed to the public. Fans can check back in to Giants.com starting at 2:00 P.M. for highlights from today’s practice.
» Linebackers coach Jim Herrmann spoke to the media for the first time since the start of training camp at today’s media availabilities. The Giants linebackers may have the tightest competition of any position in Giants camp. Other coaches speaking at today’s media availabilities include head coach Tom Coughlin and tight ends coach Mike Pope.
» Coughlin will travel to Canton, Ohio tonight for Bill Parcells’ Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Coughlin (’07, ’11) and Parcells (’86, ’90) are the only two Giants coaches to win Super Bowls.
TWEET OF THE DAY
“I wouldn’t even categorize it as an injury. I think it’s just being smart, you know, coming off the problems that I had last year with the knee and the foot. I just don’t want it to be something ongoing, so we’re just going to take it. I’ll be back there as soon as they let me. I think it will be in another day or two.”- Hakeem Nicks on his expected return to Giants training camp. (WATCH VIDEO)
