Giants have 24th-toughest schedule in 2013

Posted by Dan Salomone on February 8, 2013 – 9:46 am

panthersPerhaps more than any other professional sports league, the NFL landscape changes drastically from season to season. So looking at next year’s strength of schedule might not be completely ideal less than a week after the Super Bowl.

However, the Giants entered 2012 with the most difficult slate (based on opponents’ records from the year before), and it’s hard to argue it didn’t hold true. The Giants faced both Super Bowl participants and three of the four teams who competed in the conference championship games.

With that said, the Giants, based on 2012 records, have the 24th-most difficult schedule in 2013, according to the NFL. Around the NFC East, the Redskins are 18th, the Eagles 20th, and the Cowboys come in right behind the Giants at 25th.
