Perhaps more than any other professional sports league, the NFL landscape changes drastically from season to season. So looking at next year’s strength of schedule might not be completely ideal less than a week after the Super Bowl.
However, the Giants entered 2012 with the most difficult slate (based on opponents’ records from the year before), and it’s hard to argue it didn’t hold true. The Giants faced both Super Bowl participants and three of the four teams who competed in the conference championship games.
With that said, the Giants, based on 2012 records, have the 24th-most difficult schedule in 2013, according to the NFL. Around the NFC East, the Redskins are 18th, the Eagles 20th, and the Cowboys come in right behind the Giants at 25th.
Here is a look at the strength of schedules for the 94th NFL season:
|2013 Strength of schedule|
|New Orleans Saints||
|St. Louis Rams||
|Green Bay Packers||
|San Francisco 49ers||
|New England Patriots||
|Tampa Bay Buccaneers||
|New York Jets||
|New York Giants||
|Kansas City Chiefs||
|San Diego Chargers||
