The positions of DL, DB, and OL are all very important right now. Although I do believe we could use an athletic MLB such as Ogletree as oppose to Te'o to counter this division's athleticism with RG3 and now Chip Kelly and Company. I do believe that we can survive without drafting a first round MLB due to the fact that we went won the Super Bowl with Chase Blackburn. DE is what I feel we should address in the first round, simply because there is not really an OL or DB worthy of #19.

Round 1- Ansah, Montgomery, Jordan. I favor Ansah of the 3 because of his upside. Montgomery, although the most NFL ready, didn't overwhelm me, and I question his potential (reminds me of Derrick Morgan). Jordan is by far the most talented pass rusher of the 3, but his ability against the run (weighs 240) and durability is a slight concern for me. I do not feel know if he would fit our 4-3 system, but he would be an excellent 3-4 OLB.

Round 2- Best available DB or OL. Barrett Jones would be a steal at this point, but there is a slim chance he will still be there when we pick in Rd. 2. Same goes for Xavier Rhodes; but if either one is on the board, NYG will have to take them. A DT such as Shariff Floyd would also be a possibility.

Round 3- Depending on who we pick in Round 2, I feel that this is the spot for a MLB, more specifically Khaseem Greene/ Arthur Brown. If we are not fortunate to pick either a DB or OL in Rd. 2, we will pick one here.

Round 4- At this point we would have to had picked 2 of the following 3: DB/OL/LB. Whichever is missing, select the best available at that position.

have you seen our secondary? how long are we gunna watch the back four play zone and get picked apart. Webster is winding down. Thomas and Phillips cant seem to stay off the injury report. Rolle is at the end of his career. and Prince has been spotty at times. The only glimmer of hope i have seen was out of Brown. Yes it is great that we get tons of pressure on the QB but that doesnt matter if our secondary cant cover for more than three seconds. when the season winds down in the later weeks, being able to cover WRs is of paramount importance. Coverage extends a play long enough for our linemen to crush the QB.
look at our 2007 run from Spagnolo's defense. It wasnt just our front four getting to the QB. I cant count how many times i watched Thomas come off the slot receiver and overload blitz. Amazing thing to watch. Now, we just sit back and hope we can get pressure with four. The only time that seems to work is against Tom Brady in the Superbowl.
In my 20 years of being a Giant fan i dont think ive ever seen the giants have a shutdown corner. Or even a secondary that's feared by opposing offenses. Im sorry if that is a bit negative but here is an opportunity to fulfill these vacancies, and i have faith that our staff will get the job done. The Giants always kill the draft, credit to the GM Reese and the Mara family.

We need a DL to guy with Linval. We're getting gashed up the middle and can't stop the run...a Barry Cofield like guy. We got Austin the bust, raw Kuhn, injured Canty and old man. That's why they signed Shaun Rogers but he was gravely ill.

We need a DE, two CB, LB, RB, OL.

We need to cut Jernigan, Da'Rell Scott if they don't step up. Diehl and Webster have to go.

Giants have way too many holes to fill this year via the draft. I think it's imperative they sign free agents: CB, OL, ILB, OLB, DT, DE.

Somebody get us a nose tackle, for crying out loud. My sister can run on the Giants inside. And when was the last time a LB made a tackle? Giants have the 3 most mediocre LB's in the league. Get us a OLB/pass rusher or a MIke who can actually stuff the run.

As for the secondary, Stevie Thompson is the only bright spot, After spending #1's on the likes of Aaaron Ross and Prince Amukamara, we still need corners. Corey Webster looks like he's done. They should change his name to toast. And can Kenny Phillips ever stay on the field again? Secondary is in trouble.

Like I said, too many holes to fill.

With over 20 Free Agents ourselves and many needs, Jerry is gonna be busy for the next 4 months! We need to re-sign Cruz, Martellus, Beatty, Boothe, Locklear, Andre Brown and Stevie Brown. I'd like to see us get Blackburn back too but not as a starter. Thn we have the following needs: OT, DE, DT, LBs and CB. We all know JR will pick BPA but he HAS to fill those needs at the same time. My first 4 rounds would go:

1. Alec Ogletree,LB - beast of a defender
2. Barrett Jones, OT/C/OG - All-American as C, G & T
3. Kwame Geathers, DT - a "Mountain of a Man"
4. Ricky Wagner, OT - if he's still on the board

We should also try to snag Martellus' brother Michael Bennett (DE) as well as a veteran CB in Free Agency. Rounds 5-7 we should grab more help on the O Line, more speed in LB and a developmental QB (David Carr is worthless and Eli needs an understudy as he won't be around forever).
