Daily Blitz: Cruz, Giants hit stride at perfect time
Posted by on November 28, 2012 – 9:00 am
Scratching and clawing their way into the postseason last year, the Giants are doing everything they can to avoid another thrilling ending. Victor Cruz would be just fine with a less dramatic NFC East finish.
With the Giants holding a two-game lead in the division, a win Monday night over the second-place Redskins would go a long way toward lessening the drama.
“I feel great about this team,” Cruz told Mike Francesa on his weekly spot on WFAN. “I think we’re hitting our stride once again at the perfect time, and we just have to continue it. We understand exactly where we’re at. We understand where a win on Monday night would put us as far as the division, and we want to take advantage of it. We want to take advantage of that opportunity and not make it a nail-biter at the end of the season so Giants fans can kind of relax a little bit.”
Cruz knows nothing will come easy for the Giants against quarterback Robert Griffin III.
“He’s a unique player,” Cruz said. “He’s special. We saw that the first time we played them – how special he is – and it’s going to be tough not just for this upcoming Monday night but for years to come. We’re going to have to see him for a long time, and we’re going to have to be ready to play.”

Please tell Cruz shmooze public relations ‘ho that we would rather see him catching balls on the field and not out of an airplane. His stunt for pro bowl votes is really cheap and without merit considereing he is dropping a lot of balls. He is leading the league in dropped passes. He should be ashamed of himself. He needs to concentrate on football and not on fashion shoots, etc. He is really starting to annoy a lot of us with his humble act.

Cruz has most definitely not hit his stride. He has taken two giant steps back.

Even though Cruz has been slacking he is right in what he says about the Giants hiting their stride. The Giants crushed a great team in the Packers. They played like a team and were able to pull out the W. Was it a perfect game? No Cruz did have some crucial drops but the Giants were able to make up for those mistakes and win the game. If they keep playing like they did against the Packers they have another date with the SuperBowl. Also the support of the fans really helps the Giants.

I am not comfortable with G-Men until they show they have the ability to show up and play like they WANT to be there. They have the tendency to play “like Champions” one week, and Play pathetically they next. If they play like Champs, they can beat anyone.
