Every week, we’re asking a handful of Giants players what’s playing in their headphones before a game. This is what they had to say as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday:
S Tyler Sash
Meek Mill – ‘Young and Gettin’ It’
RB Andre Brown
2 Chainz – ‘I’m DIfferent’
CB Jayron Hosley
Curren$y, Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy
“Before the game, I like to listen to more calm, mellow songs. Right before the game, though, I turn it up to get turned up. But early on, I like to focus in on the bus ride so I listen to more mellow stuff.”

The gauntlet has been thrown down.
The Giants broadcast and print crew has finally decided to engage in the ultimate contest of football knowledge (and good fortune): Fantasy Football!
Each week Bob Papa, Howard Cross, Roman Oben, Paul Dottino, Jeff Feagles, Anita Marks, John Schmeelk, Lance Medow, Dan Salomone and the man crunching all the numbers, Dave Melroy, will go head to head to prove who is the best (and luckiest) fantasy football player around.
Dollar values are assigned to each player based up on their ranking on NFL.com – and our players choose their team while maintaining a $40 budget.
Tune into Big Blue Kickoff Live every weekday morning from 9:30-10:30 to talk Giants Football and track this year’s New York Giants fantasy football league.

Week 9 Starters
Last Week: 209 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 int
Palmer is quietly having another good season. He has thrown for at least 200 yards in each of his seven games started and has recorded a touchdown in every game but one. With just five interceptions on the year and nine passing touchdowns, the Raiders veteran QB looks to keep the ball rolling vs. a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that ranks 31st in the league, giving up an average of over 309 passing yards per game.
Michael Turner RB Falcons
Last Week: 24 carries, 58 yards
Turner saw plenty of action last week and carried the ball 24 times as the Falcons were in control for most of the game in their 30-17 win. With two of his worst weeks of the season in back-to-back contests (33 and 58 yards rushing), Turner will look to get back on track this week vs. Dallas. Though it won’t be easy task by any means, Turner always shows up in big games like these.
Andre Roberts WR Cardinals
Last Week: 65 yards receiving
Roberts continues to show his value as a consistent starting wide out as he hauled in seven catches (tied for career high) last week for 65 yards. Combined with the week before (seven receptions for a career best 103 yards and a touchdown), Roberts’ stock will keep rising as long as the Cardinals are throwing. A trip to Lambeau field is next on the schedule, and that should be the least of their concerns.

The Giants and the NFL will continue their history of honoring veterans and active duty members of the military with the annual Salute to Service campaign. For every point scored during the NFL’s 32 designated Salute to Service games, the league will donate $100 to each of its three core, military non-profit partners – Pat Tillman Foundation, USO and the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP).
Throughout November, teams will designate one home game to honor the military. During these games, teams will display a number of Salute to Service-branded elements in stadiums, with the majority in and around the end zone in order to highlight the league’s new donation program tied to scoring. Branded elements include goal post wraps, pylons with camouflage ribbon decals, wall banners and the words Salute to Service written in the back of the end zone.
Additional on field elements featuring camouflage include ribbon lapel pins, Gatorade towels, Nike and Under Armour gloves for players, captain’s patches and camouflage ribbon footballs used during every play. Game used items will be collected following Salute to Service games and auctioned on NFL Auction (nfl.com/auction), with 100% of net proceeds donated to the league’s three core military non-profit partners.
The Giants will welcome home Soldiers of the Fighting 69th, a New York-based Army National Guard Infantry Unit during this Sunday’s home game. The Fighting 69th returned from its tour of duty in Afghanistan in September and has been aiding the storm relief effort in New York City this week. Military VIPs will represent the services during the coin toss. The Giants will present a check to Building Homes for Heroes, and JP Morgan Chase will present a home to a wounded warrior. The United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon will perform during the halftime show.
