Inside the Locker Room: Thoughts after Philly

Last night, the Giants fell to the Eagles 19-17 in Philadelphia. Here’s what players were talking about in the locker room the morning after.
QB Eli Manning on moving on after the loss…
“We’re 2-2 right now, it’s not the ideal situation but you know, it could be a lot worse. Philadelphia is 3-1, we’re not far out. There’s a lot of football to be played. We still got four more divisional games, it’s a lot of football left. Hey, we got to worry about Cleveland and get back to winning. There’s no point getting down now. Everybody knows we’re going to see Philadelphia the last game of the regular season. I have a feeling that’s going to be a big game for us.”
LB Mathias Kiwanuka on feelings after watching game tape the morning after…
“You’re obviously upset about it, each individual sees those plays they could have made…so maybe a little bit of anger, but we’ll take that anger and put it into next week.”
RB David Wilson on his big kick returns…
“I think the guys in front of me did an excellent job in setting it up and getting on their guys. Coach always says you get a good return back there, guys get more motivated to block…so hopefully we can keep it going.”

Could have won this one escept for a few plays. don’t know what Eli was thinking lobbing up that pick in the endzone but we still could have recovered. The “D” wasn’t what it needed to be and we still could have recovered. Two feet on the last second kick and we would be rejoicing today. Bottom line is this was a good game and we can definitely beat these guys with a little bit of savvy and luck. We shouldn’t feel too bad but let’s get with it.

I don’t know what they were thinking with that play calling at the end of the game. Well at least we get the Browns this weekend.
