Thursday Night Football – Must Start Fantasy Players

Thursday Night Preview

Must Starts

1. James Jones, WR, GB

Week 1: 4 Catches 81 yards, TD

Jones looks like he’ll be a crucial piece of this offense going forward, averaging over 20 yards a catch. The Green Bay receiver will be one of Aaron Rodgers’ many targets this Thursday night, when they take on the 23rd ranked pass defense in the Chicago Bears. Look for Rodgers to find Jones down the field often, as the Bears secondary focuses on trying to stop the two All-Pro Packer wideouts in Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings.

2. Alshon Jeffery, WR, CHI

Week 1: 3 catches, 80 yards, TD

Jeffery had quite an opening day, as the Bears cruised pass the Colts by 20. With Brandon Marshall getting 15 targets last week, Jeffery’s expected workload will rise, as Brandon Marshall will be seeing more and more cover 2 head his way. Cutler and Jeffery were on the same page last Sunday and look to continue their success vs. one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last year.

3. Michael Bush, RB, CHI

Week 1: 12 carries, 42 yards, 2 Td’s

Bush had a ridiculous opening week with 2 rushing TD’s, making Matt Forte owners cringe all across the country.  It is clear that Forte is the main guy, but when it comes to the goal line carries, Bush seems to be the clear cut favorite. I see Bush scoring another goal line TD in Green Bay (23rd ranked vs. run) in this NFC North showdown. Just know what you’re getting yourself into when you start him.
