Nicks and Cruz best wideout duo in NFL?

Posted by Dan Salomone on August 4, 2012 – 9:18 pm

The Giants wide receivers set out in the postseason to show they can stack up with any other corps around the NFL.

They did a whole lot more en route to the Super Bowl title, and now Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz have everyone’s attention as they join the debate.

The good people at NFL.com put together a list on this very issue, and while the duo came in second, they might just be the best big-play combo in the NFL.

Here’s a look at where they came in, according to NFL.com:

1. Roddy White and Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons

2. Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, New York Giants: The best big-play combination of the NFL.

3. Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers

4. Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers

5. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles

*In the postseason, Nicks had 28 catches for 444 yards and four touchdowns (long of 72), while Cruz racked up 269 yards and a touchdown on 21 receptions.

I hate Dallas but I gotta put Dez Bryant and Miles Austin on this list… Ahead of Desean and JMac and a head of Wallace and Brown.

Hakeem & Cruz are #1 because Eli is throwing to them instead of Ryan. Also Randy Moss & V.Davis will be on this list by the end of this season!

ARE YOU NUTS????? RODDY WHITE AND JULIO JONES ARE THE BEST WIDEOUT DUO IN FOOTBALL???????? COME ON MAN! WHO’S RANKING THIS, SKIP BAYLESS?

Even as a giant fan I put Bryant and Austin ahead of the steelers WR. Otherwise I don’t have much of a problem with these rankings. Pretty fair and balanced IMO.

I’ve always believed the Giants have the best group of receivers, but now that the world is finally paying attention we still need to show everyone how we ball. Let’s go Blue.

How are Jones and white over nicks and Cruz? Who rated this??? Do they watch football?? Do the know statistics and realize the Giants are the champs because of the best recieving corps in the NFL??? Make me laugh!!!!

Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are in the top three receiver tandem in the NFL, if Nicks can stay healthy for a year or if Victor Cruz can improve on last year performance, they can be the best in the league, but teams will be rolling over to Cruz side, he has got to step up with the help of Eli.
